Provision of Allotments
The Parish Council has made the decision to withdraw the application to amend the Section 106 on the land at the Long Pond. The ecological surveys showed too much wildlife to make it financially or physically possible to provide the mitigation in order that the land could be used as allotments. Therefore, the Parish Council, after discussion with WDC, chose with great disappointment, to withdraw the application. There is now no potential land for allotments in the Parish although the Council will continue to pursue this as a matter of urgency.
ANN NEWTON - PARISH CLERK
Dear All,
The Big street meet is this Thursday the 16th June.
Across Wealden we will be holding over 50 street meetings on the District during the day. We want to know what local issues our public have and inform you what we can do to deal with them.
Crime across Wealden is LOW and we aim to keep it that way. There are other issues besides crime that cause concern within our communities and we need to understand these as well.
Please promote our street meetings. A full list of meetings is available via the neighbourhood website on www.sussex.police.uk
I will be attending the following meetings.
0930hrs. Summerheath Road Hailsham.
1030hrs. Tesco, North Street Hailsham.
1300hrs. Heathfield Library.
1430hrs. High Street Alfriston.
I am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
Proud to be serving Wealden.
Dick Coates
Wealden District Commander.
